THIS CALL IS NOW CLOSED.

At Migration Oxford, we strive to bring together students, researchers, and academics working on migration and mobility from across the University of Oxford's research centres, divisions, and departments to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborations.

We rely on the guidance of an advisory board formed of early career as well as senior scholars working on migration and mobility from across the University.

The advisory board meets typically twice per year to:

  • Provide guidance as to the overall strategic direction of Migration Oxford
  • Oversee progress as laid out by the convener
  • Provide support and guidance in the development of projects and content
  • Receive updates on and provide oversight for current projects
  •  Advise on the development of new projects and events
  • Advise on fundraising
  • Provide ad hoc advice as necessary in order to meet the aims of the board

Our current advisory board features representative from several centres and departments in the Social Sciences, including COMPAS, the Refugee Studies Centre, the Oxford Department of International Development, the School of Geography and the Environment, the Transport Studies Unit, the Oxford Internet Institute, the Centre for Criminology, Border Criminologies, and the Refugee-Led Research Hub. We also have representatives from the Faculty of English in the Humanities and the Department of Psychiatry in the Medical Sciences.

We are looking for new advisory board members to join the team. We would welcome interest particularly from departments and centres not yet represented in our current advisory board as well as from faculties and research units from the Humanities and the Medical Sciences.

If this is of interest, please drop at email to the convener of Migration Oxford Domiziana Turcatti at migration-mobility@torch.ox.ac.uk.
