Kristen is a quantitative social scientist with a professional background in causal inference in the international development and humanitarian sector. She uses experimental and quasi-experimental research methods to understand the effectiveness of interventions in displacement-affected settings in the Global South. Her doctoral research uses a combination of social network analysis, machine learning and experimental methods to understand how relationships may support social cohesion and equitable gender norms for displaced people and their hosts in eastern DRC.
