Beatrice, a DPhil candidate in Migration Studies, is currently immersed in a qualitative study examining the ways Lithuanian volunteers extend support to Ukrainians in the aftermath of Russia's 2022 invasion. From providing shelter to crafting trench candles, her work explores the nuanced interplay of personal and collective motivations, their endurance, and the connections between mobility, geopolitics, and nationalism. Before her DPhil, Beatrice spent over 4 years in civil society organisations and the private sector. Her roles included research, project management, and training in human rights, gender, and security. She also holds an MA in Human Rights & Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris, with a focus on migration.
