Domiziana’s work addresses how migrant families and young people are affected by and make sense of migration and mobility. Through qualitative methods and by collaborating with migrant-led organisations and communities, her research investigates how and why families and young people migrate and with what consequences for their socio-economic and educational opportunities; how family roles, intergenerational relationships, cultural practices, and identities change with migration; and the local and transnational strategies families and young people deploy to gain a place in the new society, including through the formation and participation in migrant-led civil society organisations and initiatives. She worked with Latin American families and youths in London and Moroccan-Dutch youth in the Netherlands.
