Fabrice Langrognet’s research in migration history explores issues around identifications, social interactions, borders and boundaries. His current research project focuses on the emergence of asylum procedures at major European airports in the 1980s. His research interests also lie in climate migration, migrants’ housing and the experience of migrant and refugee children. Fabrice co-curated an exhibition entitled “La vie HLM” (life in working-class housing) held in France in 2021-2022. Before joining academia, he served for five years as a judge in the administrative branch of the French judiciary, specializing in migration and asylum cases.
