Dr. Helidah Ogude-Chambert is an interdisciplinary scholar focused on migration, decolonial feminist thought, and how emotions shape public perceptions of migrants. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked in conflict-affected areas to promote refugee inclusion and prevent armed conflict, including roles as a Social Development Specialist at the World Bank and a Senior Policy Researcher for the Government of South Africa. Helidah blends critical theories with practical insights to examine how state practices of cruelty and racialized expulsion are justified. Passionate about creative writing, she integrates artistic and academic methods to foster dialogue beyond the academy.
