I am Departmental Lecturer in Applied Theology in the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford. My research has focused on the responses of faith-based communities to immigrants and refugees in both the UK and US. I have undertaken qualitative studies exploring the links between immigration detention activism and spirituality, and between responses to forced migration and the arts. In addition to numerous articles, my books include Asylum-Seeking, Migration and Church (Ashgate, 2012) and co-edited interdisciplinary volumes on church and migration, religion and global migrations, and parenting and social justice.
