I am Lecturer in Ethics and Theology, and Academic Dean at Ripon College Cuddesdon. My research has focused on the responses of faith-based communities to immigrants and refugees in both the UK and US. I have undertaken qualitative studies exploring the links between immigration detention activism and spirituality, and between responses to forced migration and the arts. In addition to numerous articles, my books include Asylum-Seeking, Migration and Church (Ashgate, 2012) and co-edited interdisciplinary volumes on church and migration, and religion and global migrations.
