Will's work uses migration as a lens onto the causes and consequences of engaging with information about political and economic information--particularly through visual, social, and digital media. He focuses on immigration public opinion, migration policymaking, and the roles of journalists and civil society organisations in both of these domains. This shapes his commitment to publicly engaged research: he is keen to develop more effective ways of exchanging knowledge among users and researchers, which can feed into better research practice.
